Inspections

This article explains the methods used to verify and assess damage to our vehicles, detailing what is considered acceptable or not in each vehicle component, as well as the procedures for Delivery (Check-out) and Return (Check-in) Inspections.

Introduction

Using a vehicle naturally results in normal and unavoidable wear and tear. Some damage occurs from normal, careful use of the vehicle and is therefore considered acceptable. However, any damage resulting from improper use is the customer’s responsibility and will incur additional costs.

1. Inspections

Inspections are carried out at the facilities of our national partners, referred to as “Agents.” These assessments are crucial to ensure not only the safety and integrity of our vehicles but also their aesthetic condition, including cleanliness and the visual preservation of parts.

1.1. Vehicle Delivery Inspection (Check-out)

Once the reservation has been confirmed by our team, the vehicle collection process begins at the Agent’s location. This initial inspection, known as the Check-out inspection, is essential to ensure that the vehicle is in suitable condition to be handed over to the customer.

  • The Customer will receive an email confirming the date and time of their reservation;

  • The Customer must arrive at the Agent’s location 15 minutes before the scheduled time and check in at reception, confirming they are collecting a Bluwalk vehicle;

  • The Agent verifies the designated driver’s tax identification number (NIF);

  • The Agent enters both their own identification details and the Customer’s information into the inspection app;

  • The Customer accompanies the Agent to the vehicle, where the inspection begins;

  • The Agent starts checking for any existing damage, beginning at the front left door (driver’s door) and moving counterclockwise around the vehicle;

  • Toward the end of the inspection, the Agent records the vehicle’s overall condition with general photos;

  • Once the inspection is completed and validated, the Customer must sign it on the device using the designated application;

  • The Agent hands over the vehicle keys and documentation to the Customer.
