Rental deposit: payment, rules and refund

At Bluwalk, the security deposit is essential to ensure vehicle maintenance, financial security, and high-quality service. Here’s a clear and simple guide to understand how it works.

Security Deposit Amount

  • Companies: €1,398.00 (net) + Stamp Duty 0.6% (€8.39)Total: €1,406.39

  • Individual drivers: €600.00 (same conditions)

Each rented vehicle requires one deposit. The number of deposits corresponds to the number of vehicles in your reservation.


When and How to Pay the Deposit

The deposit is required:

  • When opening an account;

  • When adding vehicles to a new reservation;

  • Not required if only replacing a vehicle without increasing the total number of rentals.

Step-by-step process:

  1. Open an account or increase your fleet;

  2. Bluwalk will contact you to confirm details;

  3. Choose your payment option:

    • Full payment; or

    • Installments over 6 months, interest-free;

  4. Receive an email with payment instructions;

  5. Request a receipt by email (optional).


Deposit Refund

  • Additional costs may apply (e.g., tolls);

  • Deposit refunded within approximately 20 days after vehicle return and request, if no claims or damages are pending;

  • If there are pending processes, the deposit will be refunded after completion;

  • Only the net deposit amount is refunded (excluding Stamp Duty);

  • Unpaid amounts or pending charges are deducted;

  • If no vehicles were used, the full deposit is refunded, including Stamp Duty.
