How is the value of my electric vehicle charge calculated?
To calculate the cost of charging, it is crucial to consider several factors, starting with the choice of charging point. In addition, there are other elements to consider when determining the total cost.
For charging at public stations, the final cost depends on three variables:
- The cost of energy consumed to charge the vehicle (varies depending on the CEME with which you have a contract);
- The usage fee of the charging point (determined by the operator of the station and the charging time);
- Taxes and fees, such as the Special Tax on Consumption of Electricity (IEC) and VAT.
For home charging:
In the case of home charging, the cost depends exclusively on the contracted electricity tariff. The energy consumed is billed by the supplier, with no additional fees related to the charging point.
