      At Bluwalk, we understand the importance of feeling confident and secure while working on the road every day in your TVDE activity. That’s why we’re excited to introduce our new product — Bluwalk Protections — designed to complement your rental experience. With these Protections, we aim to reduce risks, worries, and unexpected costs for our customers, allowing you to focus on what truly matters: your work and your peace of mind.

      What are the Protections?

      Our Protections are a range of optional products designed to limit your liability and avoid unpleasant surprises in the event of damage, accidents, or theft.
      We offer different levels of protection with varying deductibles, giving you the flexibility to choose the coverage that best suits your needs.

      Protection Plans

      We offer two protection levels for you to choose from:

      • 1000€ Deductible: This level of protection is included in your rental at no extra cost. However, it carries a higher deductible, making it the riskier option.

      • 600€ Deductible: You can choose our enhanced protection option, which offers a lower deductible for an additional 15€.

      The deductible represents the limit of your financial responsibility — you are only liable for repair costs up to that amount.

      Coverage and Limitations

      Our protection plans cover a wide range of damages, including:

      • Bodywork: Scratches, dents, broken or damaged parts, missing components, and other damage (excluding the underside and roof of the vehicle);

      • Tires, rims, wheels, and glass: Tire tears, scratched rims, cracked or broken glass, punctures, etc.;

      • Interior: Stains, deep dirt, small scratches (excluding damage to the vehicle ceiling);

      • Accidents caused by the customer or third parties.

      However, there are certain limitations to our coverage. The following damages are not covered:

      • Bodywork: Any damage to the underside or roof of the vehicle;

      • Interior: Tears, holes, burns, cigarette damage (including odor), unsecured, broken, or missing objects, and any damage to the ceiling.

      Regardless of the coverage selected, any damage resulting from negligence, improper use, or misuse of the vehicle is not covered. Examples include:

      • Driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any illegal substances;

      • Excessive speed;

      • Off-road driving;

      • Overloading the vehicle or carrying too many passengers;

      • Failure to perform scheduled or corrective maintenance;

      • Lack of care and proper maintenance;

      • Violation of traffic laws, safety regulations, or police instructions.

      Regardless of the plan chosen, customers and drivers must always comply with their duties, obligations, and requirements to benefit from the Protections.

      Pricing

      We believe in providing transparent pricing to our customers. The current rates for each protection level are as follows:

      • 1000€ Deductible: Included in the rental, free of charge.

      • 600€ Deductible: Starting from 15€ per week.

      Please note that prices may vary depending on the vehicle category, and price updates may occur at any time.

      Note: In case of an accident, Bluwalk may charge an additional management fee of €75.

      The Deductible

      With our protection package, your liability is limited to the deductible amount. If the damages are covered, you will only be responsible for costs up to that value.
      In the event of an at-fault accident, the resulting damages will also be limited to the same deductible, provided you have complied with all requirements and have not acted negligently.

      Any cost exceeding the deductible limit will not be charged to you.

      Please note that this deductible applies per rental contract and per vehicle. In other words, if you have already used your contracted Protection and replace the vehicle with another, a new deductible will apply to the new rental.

      Duration and Cancellation

      These Protections are valid for the entire duration of your rental.
      If you wish to upgrade or downgrade your protection plan, please note that a new inspection of your vehicle will be required and a new rental agreement will be created.

      In Case of an Incident

      If an accident, breakdown, theft, or any alteration to the vehicle’s original condition occurs, you must ensure the following procedure is followed:

      • Report the incident to Bluwalk and to the police within 24 hours of occurrence (except in cases of force majeure);

      • Properly fill out the European Accident Statement (DAAA) and send it to Bluwalk, along with the police report and relevant photos;

      • Collect witness statements and contact details;

      • Never abandon the vehicle without ensuring its protection and safety (except in cases of force majeure);

      • Never admit fault or liability to third parties, or take any action that could directly or indirectly affect Bluwalk;

      • Always be truthful and accurate in all situations, especially in the DAAA and any official reports.

      Failure to comply with these obligations gives Bluwalk the right to charge the customer the full cost of the damages suffered, in addition to compensation for the vehicle’s downtime.

      Requirements and Eligibility

      To be eligible for Bluwalk Protections, the following conditions must be met:

      • You must have a rental vehicle with Bluwalk;

      • Protections are valid only for the designated driver;

      • You must have no outstanding debt with Bluwalk;

      • You must fully comply with all required procedures in case of an incident.
