Some drivers ask whether Bluwalk can issue separate invoices for costs such as vehicle rental, fuel, tolls, or commissions. The answer is no, and this article explains why — in a clear and simple way.
🧾 Bluwalk does not sell the services it deducts from the driver
Bluwalk is not selling vehicles, fuel, or tolls to the driver.
In practice, Bluwalk:
-
Provides the transportation service to the platform (Uber, Bolt, etc.)
-
Directly acquires the resources needed for that service (vehicle, fuel, etc.)
-
Contracts the driving service from the driver
🧮 And what about the amount the driver receives?
The amount paid to the driver results from a calculation between the total value of completed trips and the operational costs involved, such as vehicle and fuel.
💡 This is simply a method of calculating how much Bluwalk transfers to the driver.
It does not represent a purchase or sale between Bluwalk and the driver.
📌 Why doesn’t Bluwalk issue invoices for these costs to the driver?
For Bluwalk to issue an invoice for, say, €400 in costs, the driver would also have to issue an invoice or green receipt for the full value of the trips — which does not apply to this model.
📊 Simple example:
-
Total value of completed trips: €1,000
-
Operational costs: –€400
-
Amount paid to the driver: €600
To receive an invoice from Bluwalk for the €400, the driver would have to issue a document for €1,000 — even though they only received €600.
This model does not apply to how Bluwalk operates and is not allowed under TVDE regulations, where only TVDE operators can issue invoices for TVDE trips.
⚠️ Only operators can invoice for trips
Bluwalk is the TVDE operator and is therefore the only entity legally allowed to:
-
Issue invoices for trips to passengers
-
Manage the full amounts received from the platforms
-
Deduct operational costs before calculating the amount to be paid to the driver
A TVDE driver cannot issue invoices for TVDE trips — not to the platform, and not to Bluwalk.
✅ Summary
-
Bluwalk does not issue invoices for operational costs to drivers, because it is not selling those services to them
-
The final amount paid is based on an operational calculation, not a buy-sell relationship
-
This model is legally compliant and aligned with the TVDE sector’s structure
-
It avoids unnecessary complexity and simplifies the relationship with drivers
